Fisher Roc: Meters -Troubleshooting

Class Description: The purpose of this class will be both to discuss common troubleshooting techniques for Fisher Roc, FloBoss, and Bristol Control Wave RTU’s. The goal of this session is to have an open dialogue in which attendees will have access to a product expert. Come with questions!

Speaker: Jim Young
Bio: Jim Young has been in the oil and gas industry for over 25 years. His experience ranges from operating, to manufacture and maintenance, to automation and SCADA. Jim grew up on a family farm and got started in the oil and gas fields as a contract pumper while farming. He has worked at DISCO machine and Cooper Industries as machinist and mechanic, and later at OXY USA as a mechanic, so he is very knowledgeable in the mechanical operation and control of equipment used in the oil field. While at OXY, he got involved in automation and controls as well as SCADA and telecommunications. He was responsible for the programming, installation, and commissioning of the automation systems for several water-flood projects, numerous water transfer and disposal projects and gas gathering systems. Jim has received nearly a dozen ISA certifications in various automation fields. He is now an RAS Field Engineer working for Experitec Inc. out of the Liberal office. Jim’s duties include helping customers with development of new projects as well as troubleshooting and maintaining existing equipment. Jim still lives on the family farm in rural Turpin, Oklahoma. He is married with two kids and enjoys attending the many sporting events that his kids are involved with.
